Thea
A downloadable game for Windows
WEBGL VERSION --> https://john-manard.itch.io/theaweb
Art by Lauren Nakamura: @laursquaad.
Programming by John Manard.
TIPS:
- The girl cannot be damaged, but the game will end if the dog hits a car.
- Try to look at the dog and not the girl.
- The dog will sway side to side in a repeated pattern outside of your control. If you move with the dog horizontally, you will move faster. If you move against the dog, it will barely move at all.
- Staying in one lane makes the game much easier.
One fine evening, John and Lauren decided to participate in a Game Jam. They settled on calling the game "Thea", inspired by Laurens very own white German shepherd. Thea is a grossly overweight hound with equally astounding pull strength.
As John and Lauren decided to go through with the game, it got rather dark. It was decided that the player would be pulled by a massive beast (Thea) into a herd of wild cars. Pay no mind to the end game scene...
Directions: Use your mouse to move the character, holding the leash, left and right.
Thea will attempt to pull you in random directions, follow these movements for a slight speed boost.
Happy Walking!
Disclaimer: Thea is safe at home and is never allowed to pull us or herself into the street.
